August 27, 2022 - 5:30 pm ET
Virginia Museum of History & Culture

You are invited to our 2022 Unity Walk, commemorating the 59th anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech on August 28, 1963!  We will start from Virginia Museum of History & Culture and will walk peacefully, singing inspiring songs, celebrating the vision of our shared liberation.  We'll stop at Marcus-David Peters Circle for a brief time of meditation and reflection and then we will walk back to the museum together, where we'll hear from community minded organizations about their mission and vision and their call to action.  Tables will be set up for organizations that wish to share information.  Each of the two legs of the walk are 0.80 miles, making the walk 1.60 miles total.

AND Coming Together Virginia will officially and publicly announce and unveil our new name, vision, mission and logo!  We invite you to CELEBRATE WITH US!

Please reach out to us if you'd like to involve your nonprofit organization, neighborhood association or corporation with a heart for unity in the community in our Unity Walk!  Organizations will be invited to the podium to briefly share about their mission, vision and a call to action.  Organizations may have a table on the lawn of the VMHC
